Άγάπη is a divine action, and has nothing to do with the Anglo-French concepts of romance, which is a concept invented during the 1100s, several Centuries after the Christian Bible was compiled in the Roman Empire.

This is why “love wins” and all that pap never occurred to someone like @Kalogerosstilitis2RevengeoftheJunta or anyone else like him for 2000 years, whose vernacular language for the Bible is Greek. Such feminized garbage never occurred to Christian Greeks like Θεόδωρος Κολοκοτρώνης, who was a klepht warlord that defeated Ottomans. Such concepts were an import from Western Europe and America.

Jehovas witnesses are literally wrong about everything. On purpose obviously, they're not Christians, they believe Christ was just some holy dude.

@judgedread As a kid my family were Jehovah's Witnesses. I left by the time I hit my teens. They taught that hell wasn't a place of eternal torment and punishment. Instead it represented the final and complete destruction of the soul. If you had rejected God, if you decided to be such an insufferable wicked asshole you chose the path that lead away from heaven, you ended up with the final erasure of the essential you.

I'm no theologian, but that seems more reasonable, less cruel, and somehow more fitting.

There's an argument that says, once the Bible was translated into common vernacular (example: German & English), people interpreted Christianity to mean "become doormats" and "love wins."

But Greek and Latin were the vernacular languages of Emperor Constantine (helped create the 1st Christian Biblical Canon). It never occurred to him to become a doormat or to reward evil.

Black people like this really aren't prepared for when all the boomers die off and people like the young men not so casually making fun of her gain power, no one under 50 has any sympathy for them and everyone under 50 has had likely multiple extremely negative experiences with them. The resulting policy shift from the boomer die off is going to make Jim Crow look tame, only instead of outright segregation they're just going to find that all the social programs that so many of them rely on simply don't exist anymore.
