@judgedread @Edit_XYZ This is accurate.
There is a YouTube video by a man who writes about technology and had Notebook LM I believe create its own a podcast about one of his books. It had two AI people, a man and a woman, discussing his ideas and controversies of the book as a dialogue, back and forth. He was astounded how good it was. Not just the superficial realism, but that it was convincingly getting at the real meat of his books.
There are demo podcasts out there of Notebook LM doing this.
What strikes me is, How is this different essentially from thought? It could generate a dialogue on any topic completely internally. It could generate millions of them and have them interact all internally.
How is this different in any essential way from thinking?
Because most people come nowhere near this level in terms of thinking. It never really has been necessary for survival. Not for most of us. Not for any other species before us.
