Today's Doings...

Well, we are hunkered down at the house. Closed The Tavern till Wendnesday. I winterized The Tavern, draining the pipes and turning the water off to the building...unplugged the ice machines and turned off the inline propane water heater.

Ive got the pump house heating with a 125w element that is made for heating Chicken Houses. Plus the water line coming out of the pump is wrapped in a heating wire until it enters the ground. Ive got the hose dripping outside and keeping the water moving in the system.

We covered the citrus trees and some of the other orchard trees with sheets.

I fired up the Kerosene heater and ran it for a while. First time since last winter.

I made some unorthodox chili with Cananelli Beans, Black Beans, Onions, Bell Peppers and Yellow Corn along with the Ground Beef, Diced Tomatoes, Garlic and Chili Powder with a good dose of Cholula. It is delicious.

Then we pan seared a thick ribeye that was a little past it's prime, but I trimmed it up and put a nice crust on it. Served with some Baked Potatoes. Delicious.

I baked some extra potatoes, so that we can have some hash browned potatoes with over medium eggs for breakfast tomorrow. I love to top the home fried potatoes with eggs and break the yokes over them. So good. Probably have some venison breakfast sausage with them.

That's what Ive been up to today. I went to the store for some snowstorm supplies in my Brian Denehey lambs wool jacket and got some compliments while I was there.

Anthropic is attempting regulatory capture, but in the meantime they have the most popular product with coders who will pay top dollar for it.
