“It is true that I grew up in a nominally Catholic (but functionally secular) family, and it is also true that I went to Catholic schools throughout grade school. I won’t deny any of that. But do not mistake me; I do not bend knee to any Iron Age imaginary friend in the sky, born of the schizophrenic imaginations of inbred desert tribes who wandered around in equatorial sun all day without adequate hydration and smoked hallucinogenic poppies all night. Ask me about my so-called ‘religion,’ and insofar as I even entertain the approximation of one in my life, I will answer simply with this: ‘He who would live must fight. He who doesn’t wish to fight in this world, where permanent struggle is the law of life, has not the right to exist.’“
I find old school Christianity’s concept of absolute truth and truth incarnate to be useful to me. But I will never bend the knee to the typical American McPastor (or any e-trad), all of whom are obvious grifters and conmen.
In fact these conmen were totally obvious frauds to me, even when I was a ten year old boy. “How can all these adults be stupid enough to follow this fraud? 👇”
“lol yup that’s exactly what life is about. Have fun with that philosophy”
I generally disregard any advice or philosophy that would get me screwed over.
I like Old School Christianity’s concept of Absolute Truth. But it’s obvious that Modern American Christianity, filled with grifters and conmen, isn’t a representation of that.
313Chris, the admin of DRC, said it better than me:
