Everyone with a lick of sense can see Iran could keep the Strait of Hormuz closed even with 1/20th of their missile and drone capacity.

So let's game it out. Assuming I was in Trump's position I'd be working to ameliorate the impact on the economy by getting Iran to let as many tankers of oil through as possible while the world oil trade adjusted to the new situation.

That's assuming the jews won't allow a deal.

Trump is acting like there is some easy way to force Iran to open the Strait up and return to business as usual. There isn't.

That's why I say this is more than just extortion or blackmail. Trump is also being kept in an information bubble. Zero situational awareness.

He used Twitter to A-B test his messaging during his Birther Era. That was what inspired the famous 'They're sending rapists' anti-immigration 2015 escalator event. He then did the series of rallies where he rambled about his grug talking points and took note of which ones had the most traction, and then with that raw material campaign pros created the greatest upset in postwar political history.

Now, without Twitter or live interaction with the MAGA crowds, he's got none of that. And going senile doesn't help either.
