We tend to consider Falcon 9 as an aging & reliable legacy launcher, and it makes sense: it’s launched over 500 times in the past 15 years.

But it’s easy to forget that it is still the most advanced operational launcher in the world, and the *only one* capable of booster reuse.

I brought a solar telescope to Florida to capture a Falcon 9 rocket launch transiting the sun. While these have been captured before, never with the details of the sun’s chromosphere, which makes this one the first!
