The right wing has hated solar power for so long it can't adjust to new technological reality.

Elon's solar argument is very simple: We get 8000X our current global total electrical consumption from the sun, it's just a matter of tapping a tiny percentage of it to replace all other power sources.

Meanwhile solar panel cost keeps falling and efficiency keeps rising.
