Free advice is seldom cheap. And this is doubly true for free Baby Boomer :cuckdad: advice. Boomer advice that millions of Millennials trusted, then got screwed over by college debt and divorce.

Good thing I ignored Baby Boomer advice like this, when I was a teenager.

Otherwise, I would be impoverished, and be a debt slave… instead of being financially independent.

How much of where you live is influenced by the need for employment?

I can think of some places that are going to empty out if UBI becomes a thing.

NYC suburbs are going to be wastelands.

The need to stay close to friends and family becomes less of an issue when there are no jobs. The whole family can move together if no one is anchored by employment.

None of this applies to people who've lived in the same area for centuries. I don't know what percentage that is, but in the US... it's not many.

Port cities will be run by robots. Robot cranes to unload the container ships. Humanoid robots to guard against theft. Self driving trucks to transport the containers to their destinations.

@MongoMonkey This is a true Darwinian game AKA uninsurable risk - no way to know the outcome. Power bills are going up, but there is a baseline electric ration required for modern life. They can't ratchet below that, and even starting to ration presents grave risks for the already hated regime. What food riots were to the French monarchy brownout riots would be to the pig system.

My guess is they remove all obstacles to Elon paving the deserts with solar cells.
