Politics and strategy are not Trump's fields, so he is easily duped. It's why he failed to get wall funding in his first term and why he got dragged into this war in his second. The blackmail option is unproven, it's just something I'm considering. Trump's vast ignorance of foreign affairs hardly needs proving, he demonstrates it every time he opens his mouth to pontificate on the subject.

I will grant that Trump is somewhat ignorant on some of that stuff. However, nobody can be an expert on everything and one thing a President is reasonably expected to do is employ experts in areas where he is not up to speed.

I have no doubt he did that, but sadly the experts he employed ... well ... not exactly unbiased.

Even the overt movement would probably have a mini-pivot at the start as someone either revealed their power level after gathering resources while maintaining crypsis or woke up to the jewish problem as they were creating a proto-fascist movement. That way when the lawfare hit they'd already have a war chest to defend against it.

But I consider a mainstream movement pivoting when its leader converts or goes mask off to be more likely. I will say that the meming clears the path for such events, so no reason to stop posting.

If you know of anyone who predicted that Netanyahu would attack Iran directly before it happened I'd be curious to look at their analysis.
