Multiple Chinese companies have been testing Grasshopper-style landing prototypes for years, and are now doing orbital launch and landing attempts. This puts China far ahead of Russia and the EU.

There’s a greater than 50% chance that one of China’s EIGHT reusable rocket companies will complete an orbital rocket landing on a platform this year. SpaceX started dominating the world’s annual orbital upmass only a few years after the December 2015 RTLS landing.
