"Your basic fedi Christian is a twisted Gollum-like fiend shrieking hate at the world."

"'Why no revival?'"

I noticed years ago, that such people have very little in common with actual Christian Southerners I've met in real life. For one thing, unlike the spiteful mutants LARPing as "Confederates," actual Confederates can answer multiple choice Redpill on Women Questions. And actual Confederates are Trump voters. Just normal people who aren't filled with spite and loathing. The basic fedi Christian has more in common with failed urban Reddit strivers, living in coffin apartments in blue city shitholes... than they do with Appalachian Whites living in small houses in the mountains.
@Bianca Or at the very least being willing to speak out against evil even if it costs you your job.

Most fail that test.

@ArdainianRight @judgedread After WW2, Japan was a sea of rubble from top to bottom. It never experienced any sort of religious revival. Same thing with West Germany. If anything, Germany became even less religious than it had been.

"... are against modern comforts of all kinds. ... Which if they're realistic is pre-18th."

Except they want all the comforts of that time too, which required a functioning civilization of millions of people to provide. And they had to be able to fit in and work within that civilisation and culture.

They can't fit in and work within any real functioning civilization.

What they want, but don't know it ,is to live essentially as a homeless person does today. An utterly minimal and miserable existence. They're welcome to it.

@admin I notice that most religious extremists are against modern comforts of all kinds. It's like they know that their thing is obsolete and want to revert to the last century when they ruled. Which if they're realistic is pre-18th.
@judgedread If the health and relevance of a religion depends on the physical squalor and misery of its followers, then that religion is objectively not a benefit to whatever civilization practices it.
