I begin to see the ourguy blackpill angle of attack. They believe that if they can get you to give up on every tiny little bit of hope and every last fragmentary pleasure possible under the current dispensation you will join them in constant misery, thus providing the basis for a revolutionary vanguard capable of overthrowing said dispensation.

In reality almost no one is qualified for that job so crushing all hope just drives them away entirely, shrinking the sea of sympathizers insurgency depends on.
