“The next steps to test were ship payload deployment using the pez system for Starlink and, eventually, Starmind satellites; then an in-space burn to ensure the ship could relight in space; atmospheric reentry at orbital speeds; and finally the flip and burn on target. The reason for doing all of this in a suborbital trajectory was to ensure that no matter what issues the ship encountered in the coast phase, it would reenter over water. The last thing SpaceX would want is to go into orbit and then be unable to deorbit a 52-meter-long, 9-meter-wide stainless-steel vehicle with a heat shield.“

"Ship 40’s flawless flight promotes next mission catch potential"
"SpaceX’s Starship Flight 13 demonstrated that the Ship can complete its mission and return intact, surviving water impact without destruction. The Booster, however, remains a work in progress as SpaceX continues refining the clean-sheet Block 3 design."

“this thread is the gayest shit ever. You don’t sink US Navy ships. You mission kill them. Americans will move the earth and the heavens to fix them out of sheer pride at astronomical cost instead of putting the effort into the fight.”
“Between morale problems and poor quality a mission kill is as likely from within as without. Tying up the US Navy isn’t a serious challenge and not something worth bragging about”
This is even dumber on second look.
This was a reply to China’s intentions in the future of warfare, not on what Iran should do.

US power projection, for now, is completely dependent on air support. China knows this, but retards stuck in the previous Century don’t.
“High Speed Low Drag Operators” are hype.
“If you don’t understand what I posted maybe you should go back to being sodomized. That seems more your speed.”
If your weapon is slow to build and expensive, and the weapon that can easily kill it is cheap and plentiful to produce. It’s not going to be a viable weapon, dummy.
“Rods from god would require stationary targets which ships in the ocean are anything but. I feel like you just say things that sound cool.”
Hypersonic vehicles can land on a moving ship.
“Americans will move the earth and the heavens to fix them out of sheer pride at astronomical cost instead of putting the effort into the fight.”
A lot easier to build lots of cheap hypersonic weapons, than to build new carriers.
Each US aircraft carrier is $11 billion each. The oncoming 21st Century weapons that can kill them are relatively cheap.
