Lao Tzu, the Taoist sage advocated for free market capitalism in the Tao Te Ching 2,000 years ago, but it never took off in China for some reason.

In fact, Adam Smith had to prove Capitalism worked before it began to catch on. That's the tragedy of invention. Old habits die hard.

I know that you WANT the answer to be though, it just isn't so.
