I've been on dates though where the dude did not learn a single thing about me because he was too busy drawing out why he was literally the smartest guy in existence and how his scheme for XYZ was making him a very rich man soon. I like to look up one guy in particular on LinkedIn to see his current scheme that might get him into prison.

yeah sure, but dating in a two-way-street. you tell a little, you listen a little, you have a conversation.

@kaia Some people treat dates like a job interview where they list their qualifications and hope they get a call back, and not as an opportunity to get to know the other person.

A lot of that is simply because men don't really care all that much about the particulars of the woman. As long as you're young, attractive, and don't have a penis, that's good enough.

Women tend to have more exacting standards, so men do more of the talking, at least at first when in the "job interview" phase.
