there has been people saying they have (or are going to) mail cash or money order since the beginning of march but none have come. do you think they made it up friends or do you think the great american postal ape has procured them

@graf you should never mail cash. They screen for and seize it under the assumption that you're a drug cartel or terrorist unless it's like $5 in a birthday card.

You have to wire money or use personal checks, which of course doxx you and the donor, and that's the point.

@Tfmonkey not the case at all. in the past we've had several hundreds mailed normally over the course of 3 years

I've sent cash through USPS in amounts $1000 to $5000 to various recipients many times and never lost any. It is a little nerve wracking the first few times. USPS Priority Express costs $30 domestic and $50 to Canada, but then they actually pay attention and you get tracking. The real problem is Canadian Customs, there are few mail flights to Canada and your envelope can sit in customs for a week. But it does get there, so far at least.
@pinemarten @Tfmonkey oh right, the flights. i forgot about that. it's weird that i can get a parcel from fucking england in 4-5 days but lettermail from less than 1/10th the distance takes nearly two months
@graf @pinemarten @Tfmonkey I ordered something from a Canadian seller two months ago and it's still in fucking Toronto for some reason.
@pinemarten @graf @Tfmonkey Shipping anything to or from Canada is hell. I don't know why they make it so difficult, there's no reason for that. Like buddy I'm just ordering maple syrup, why do you need all this paperwork?
