@lain it's because of corn syrup. The rest off the world uses natural sugar, but sugar comes from South America, and we subsidize corn to "create jobs for Americans"
Fructose can't be used as energy without being processed by the liver. HFCS causes fatty liver disease and obesity even though it's only technically "sugar". It overloads your liver, and the sugar that can't be processed is stored as fat, and it's in EVERYTHING.
@FUCKINGWHOCARESDUDE @lain sugar is only half fructose and half glucose. Your body used glucose as energy and the liver processes fructose before it can be used as energy.
The amount of fuctose in fruit is usually fine, but HFCS overloads your liver, causing the unprocessed fructose to be stored as fat.
