I would close down ever private & state run college & have them all run & funded by the federal government. Turn all the employees into federal employees to control costs.
Books, classes, dorms, food; I would make it all free to the students. Having young people load up on $500k on students , which is non expungable in bankruptcy, is a predatory crime on kids. These professors getting paid $800k to teach a few classes is graft. I would make it illegal.

@ArmchairEconomist01 if you turn college into public school, then they'll dumb everything down for the women and browns, and then people will have to go to "super college" to get the "real degree" to get a job, and they'll be in school until their 30s.
@ArmchairEconomist01 college should only be for doctors or engineers. 99% of people should get a proper education from regular school, but we've dumbed down the curriculum for the last 100 years.
People used to leave school after Middle School and begin working because that's all they needed to read, write, etc. High School was only for white-collar workers, and college was only for doctors, lawyers, and engineers.
The problem isn't money, it's "equality". Make school hard and remove the dumb
Currently what Harvard, Yale, & Tufts do is graft & theft on kids
