@Tfmonkey @Hyperhidrosis Thats not a good sign at all

Replace ANY HDD/SSD/NVME thats over 3 years with a fresh one

Also NEVER get DLINK , CISCO or SEAGATE branded equipment

@charliebrownau @Hyperhidrosis they're Samsung SSDs, and my computer works fine for the most part. It's like an old car that you just have to give a little love sometimes to get going.

@Tfmonkey @Hyperhidrosis Ive been fixing computers since 88

Drives that drop off isnt good

Its either
power supply
mobo
or dodgie drive

Have you got SMART mode enabled

If your still using Windows, grab SIW
(freeware program) it should be able to report
the heath of the drive

Grab SIW from portableapps.com
@charliebrownau @Tfmonkey @Hyperhidrosis >>Drives that drop off isnt good

@tfmonkey I would listen to this.
@PalePimp @Tfmonkey @Hyperhidrosis In the end its free advice

Listen to someone that has fixed computers since XT/286 and z80s
era
or treat it like a vehicle/woman and hope disconnecting and reconnecting it wont end up doing serious harm to it

Theirs a reason corporations use SAS drives often with 5 year warranty along with a solid SAN/NAS's setup using LTO tape drives for long term backup
compared to home user/soho/consumer SATA stuff with 1-3 year warranty
