Not a typo. Scalpers use bots to buy up the inventory for new cards then list them on ebay for double or triple MSRP in hopes someone is desperate enough to buy them.
Same things still going on with 9800x3ds, although its finally starting to die down 2 montgs after launch.
I am sure a few have been killed for it.
