THAT NEVER HAPPENED when I used to run W98SE - damn, that got FAST!

I think it cheated!

@mindsprome Does your hard drive still have a disc or do you use SSDs now? SSDs are WAAAAAAY faster than the old disc hard drives.

@[email protected] it's a 2021 Lenovo Ideapad 3 -- 11th Gen INtel i3-1115G4 3.00GHz - I have no idea if it runs on that or not.

@mindsprome Almost all laptops use SSD hard drives because they're much smaller and quieter than the old disc hard drives. They're the size of floppy disks.

Unless you're running a laptop from the early 2000s, you almost certainly have a SSD drive, which is why defragging is so quick. There is no disk to spin, all the data is instantly accessible.
