@ze Wireshark should be able to demonstrate if it were happening.
You're right about Tor. Most layer2/3 devices have some sort of auto negotiation (Path MTU Discovery) built in but since Tor blocks ICMP that's not going to work.

@ze And yes, I put a buffer area in too by default whenever I've needed to get an MTU value.
