We are currently having network issues. We are able to connect to our server's onboard recovery system, but the access is slow and unreliable.

We'll keep you updated.

A quick glimpse at the monitoring (until network access went away) indicated that it's either a grave network misconfiguration or an active DDoS going on. It looked like an inrush of junk data at the maximum link speed of our server.

We are waiting for our provider to help us out with our current situation.

Our provider confirmed an incoming DDoS. We have got access to our systems and currently considering next steps.

@Codeberg againë

Forgive me if I'm stating a commonly asked question but why don't you guys use cloud flare. You just host code

@UncleIroh @Codeberg @kirby So based that only the big US SNS sites are linked at the end but no Mastodon (nor other competing platforms known in the EU) :/
But at least they seem to be based in the netherlands.
Kuketz (a guy that works part time for the LfDI BW in Germany) has a list of potential alternatives to Cloudflare:
kuketz-blog.de/cloudflare-cdn-
Not saying those should be used however. Just to point out some other options that might be worth a look if something similar to Cloudflare is searched.

Btw. I use decloudflare filter list and if Codeberg went with Cloudflare I would look for an alternative. IMO Codeberg is overall fine how it is atm. Even works well in elinks. The thing I dislike the most is that Forgejo is written in Go but well it's a Gitea fork and everything else looks like to not be in a good state or written in something I dislike as well.
