What happens if you do not sort, rinse & examine lentils, split peas, beans or legumes that say to rinse, sort & examine before cooking on the package

Is there a way to get lentils in bulk at a cheap price that you can open without a can opener that do not have dirt and pesticide because someone else already examined, sorted and rinsed them for you
