I'd say I'm okay with the destruction of the human race. But these things work on a pendulum. This is also likely 45% of western women. Despite all the work of Gates and others, modern medicine hasn't obliterated the fertility rates in Africa (just imagine how high it would be without such interventions!). The middle east is still fairly high as well.

If things start to get bad in western nations, the fertility rates will flip. Poverty and lack of education increases fertility rates. Monetary government incentives does not increase it (Many nations have tried, a lot!). It will suck for millennials like myself. Many of us will have no one to care for us if we get dementia or become disabled (those of us who modern medicine doesn't kill off).

The next generation might increase use of euthanasia and the world might become modern Canada for a bit, but within another 100 years we'll likely be right back to around 6~7 billion people globally.
