I didn't wanna be a semantic dick... But I keep hearing the Indian caste system being characterized as divisions of the same race, which isn't entirely true.

The Brahmins generally have the highest percentage of steppe DNA (aka Yamnaya, aka Aryan conquerers), and compose the "indo-" portion of Indo-European. Whereas the lower castes have a higher percentage of the indigenous DNA, widely believed to be austro-asian (aka aboriginal).
