@Mr_Mister @Zeb Putin runs a real country in a real world. He is not some kind of armchair interner warrior. Sure this sucks but Russia has been decimsting Ukraine military for over two years now. Things like this are mere mosquito bites. The inevitable defeat of UAF will happen. No reason to make an emotional decision on a whim. The bill will come due on Russias own schedule in a manner of their choosing.

@Justicar @Zeb It’s not that this is some random emotional response by Putin. This is a(nother) red line being crossed by the Ukrainians. Yeah they’ve invaded Russia, which isn’t that bad itself because it is a war after all. But now they’ve confirmed to be using NATO-supplied weapons which is something Russia has be saying is too far. This, the beach bombing incident, the concert terrorist incident, destroying bridges.

And so…..what’s Putin gonna do about it?

@Mr_Mister @Zeb Russia is NOT at war. This is military operation. If it were war, Kyiv would have been a ruin a long time ago and all top politicians would be long dead. That's what many people miss about the situation. Russia thinkls ahead and how they will handle the country and the people after the conflict ends. There is no reason for them to wipe the entire country out. Russia has no reason to attack NATO. They do not want this to become WW3, which is what NATO wants because the empire ..

@Mr_Mister @Zeb ..is on its way out and no empire went out without a fight. So Russia is navigating the situation very carefully. Next, who gives a fuck what weapons Ukraine is using. UA is in state of war and they can use whatever the fuck they need to defend themselves. They meaning the government, not the people. Russia is only trying to minimize the damage by warning other countries to not supply them but "legally" Russia has no foot to stand on in this case.

What Russia will most likely facilitate is supplying various groups with weapons that will be used to wipe out ALL American bases form the face of this planet, sooner or later. China ditto when it comes to SEA. Houthis have been given some good stuff. Iran has now Russian air defence systems AND Russians operating them. Iran is now fully protected by Russia. there are alliances being built ...

@Mr_Mister @Zeb ..and BRICs is growing. These are some pain points of the transition but Russia is not stupid or desperate. Just because some red lines got crossed does not equal killing and bombing of people. Russia, China and BRICS will have a very long memory and will most likely isolate the NATO/West economically in the future. Even Lavrov said, as a matter of fact, that the relationship with USA/West will be dead for generations. Until all the deep state operatives are gone.

Oh yeah silly me. I should definitely think that if a country broke a treaty they signed with you, commits war crimes, kills your civilians, uses weapons of war supplied by your enemies, invades you, and destroys your infrastructure you should totally let it happen. Let it happen and not bomb them to hell and just take their country. I guess I'm just emotional.

I agree with Justicar point on this...Russia's leaders and the government definitely don't care at all if Ukraine kill and destroy any part of their country. They are historically famous for sacrificing stupid amount of men's bodies at any problem for any or no reason.

Israel has to do better if they want to provoke Russia: instead of killing Iranian presidents/diplomats in their homes, they need to strike Russian leaders and their families while they sleep, just like Gaza.
