@Zeb The article says that the President of El Salvador took the men but would not accept the women, and some others, back, due to a few different factors.
If Trump had just left them there after they were most recently in his "care" and jurisdiction, then everyone would say, "See? He just abandoned these poor WOMEN in the middle of nowhere!"
