Never laughs or smiles in meetings (or at all) unless it's with another certain black.

Always combative and arguing with his co-worker (also black, but friendly, competent, and cooperative).

Never returns my greetings (completely ignores them, in any location/time of day).

Fuck him. Something's going to boil over with me next time he tries asking me for something (the only time he acknowledges me).

I do go down YouTube holes and I do
"find" entertainment to download.
No sports besides strongman and auto racing highlights.

But I can also read three books over a few weeks. One serious, one for entertainment and one to test my nerves.

I am well aware of this problem of demoralization. I was myself demoralized, liberal and without purpose for much of my life. I was able to fix that on my own. This experience equips me with the tools to help others pull out of it. It is not easy, but possible. Never lose hope.
