Former Rothschild Director Named New Head of Vatican Bank
François Pauly (61), currently president of Compagnie financière La Luxembourgeoise and former managing director of the Edmond de Rothschild group, will be the new chairman of the supervisory board of the Vatican bank IOR.
As the financial institution announced Wednesday in Rome, François Pauly will be appointed at the supervisory board meeting on April 28. Until then, Frenchman Jean-Baptiste Douville de Franssu (62 years old) remains in his position. He has presided over the Vatican’s financial institution since 2014.
The Rothschilds have controlled the Vatican's money for over 100 years.
