Madrid intends to ban imports of #Russian LNG from January 1, 2027, complying with #EU restrictions despite long-term contracts held by Spanish companies, Spanish Foreign Minister Jose Manuel Albares said. He noted Spain has some of Europe's largest LNG capacity and can help supply allies from "reliable partners, such as the United States."
