@freepatriot What we need are working FTL capable starships so we can find a planet capable of supporting human life, then use it as a dumping site for 98% of our prison inmates.

We have enough laws, but not enough prison space. We don't keep the people that need to behind bars there nearly long enough.

You'll know we finally have enough people in prison, exiled, or executed when no store has merchandise locked behind safety glass, when hood rats don't take over intersections to do burnouts, when you can leave your front door unlocked, when your move to a new home doesn't include figuring out how to drive less than 3 hours to your job while still being able to avoid the blessings of "diversity." You'll know we have enough people in prison when a piece of shit will be too scared to stab some kid in the heart over seating arrangements, and people will be too scared to cheer him doing it.
@Charles_in_Charge @freepatriot We do need FTL ships. But, let's not waste the time and resources using them to transport the scum of humanity.
We just need the will to better (more forcefully and ruthlessly) police the lower class.
Enforce the law.
Segregation (by ethnic cleansing if necessary).
IQ tests at 12 years old. Those scoring under 110 are sterilized by having the appropriate tubes tied. If one is able to (please pardon the phrase) lift oneself up by the bootstraps, one may have the procedure reversed.
All we lack is the will. For now.
