I remember when I was in school, a guy announced the meeting of the Young Anarchists Club. He said it was an important meeting, because they were electing officers.
I have been a fan of anarchy for a long time. However, recently, I have come to believe that it does not comport with reality. Not in the observed, that's just the way it is, kind of way but in the ultimate form of reality way. Natural law exists with or without humanity. Conformity to reality leads to optimum outcomes. I'm still not a fan of law but I am a believer.
"Surely no one and nothing will ever fill this massive power vacuum. We just all have to agree to be cool man, be cool!" - Anarchists
You can hate the Government, and you should. But to pretend that anarchy is actually a viable alternative requires a childlike naivety that all of human history (and future) laughs at.
It could be the lesser evil. It would be better to have no government than a government that taxes the citizens, but provides no protection or services to the taxpayers (instead providing Free Stuff to people who don’t work and who don’t pay taxes). And we might as well have no cops and no laws if the police are ordered to stand down and allow criminals to run rampant.
It inevitably, and usually very quickly, devolves into despotism.
