Everything is illegal, everyone is a criminal, everyone is under surveillance 24/7, and no one cares.

Living in a police state means that you must live in dread of being arrested. You can't help feeling hopeless.

@FreedomPatriot One can always help, from feeling hopeless. All one has to do, when living in a police state is to assume the role of a criminal. Living as a criminal doesn't necessarily mean committing crimes, it means knowing that one is under the ever present eye of tyranny.

Under such conditions, one learns evasion, preparation, concealment and temperament. Such a state can not last long with such men who will practice living as if they know, that they are perceived to be criminals. Or not, perhaps, despair and hopelessness are preferable.
