I was in the path of Helene and lost power for two weeks. I had 100 gal of fuel on hand and thought that was enough. Turns out that isn't a splash when people are shooting each other at the nearest gas stations for their spot in line.

Fast forward to now and I keep 300 gal on hand and have my house completely off the grid. That storm was eye opening for me.
