Looks like they have an interesting definition of "free".

My country is ranked near the top, yet I could be jailed for posting a photograph of a watermelon in the wrong context.

I'm calling BS on that site, their real methodology seems to be Foggy Bottom's friends and enemies lists
I've never even visited Romania, so I cannot compare them myself, but on what metric are you basing this?

Seems implausible to me.

There are a great many non-white countries freer than typical (non-US) white countries, but Japan sure isn't one of them...

Because the United States of America helped rebuild Japan during world war 2 and because Japan tried to copy Europe during the Meiji restoration

Where as Romania has problems tracing back to Marxist Judeo-Communism

Why does Japan have more freedom than Romania

They're talking about seat belts for bicycles. If you crash and the bike goes flying, it might get lost and pollute the environment.

You must read "Unveiling Andersonville: The Secrets of a Civil War Prison" by Andy Reven. This nonfiction book is a real page-turner and profound. It is the best book about soldiers who faced struggles long ago. Google it now.
