Americans used to think hippies were lazy fruits for dropping out during the Vietnam War, but maybe the hippies had the right idea after all.

There can’t be any large-scale revolution until there’s a personal revolution, on an individual level. It’s got to happen inside first.

My dear uncle was one of those hippies.
Didn't want to go to 'Nam, wore loud ties and played acoustic guitar a lot.
Has loudly supported every imperialist war since.
Claims to be a Marxist, but owns eight houses.
Supports open borders, and is also outraged that immigrants aren't "gratefully" supporting his bad ideas.
Hates Americans, but loves Israel.
Boomer hippies were fake little posers, not builders. They have gotten worse with age.
(Honourable exceptions exist, I'm sure)
