To me, it's a moot point, since I'm going to be muting half of the fediverse anyway (open sores spams, podcasts, SPORTS, religion, crypto, etc) simply because it's irrelevant to me.

I think social media should strive to be Walmart not Disneyland. Or maybe even a public park. Hugboxes and echo chambers are toxic.
