@zeke @freepatriot Depends on the country. In sweden, it's getting closer to 1984 with built out surveillane and where the police can hack into any phone or computer without paperwork and only a hint of suspicion.

They are planning for more cameras, and the government in recent years had cases of people sitting in jail for months waiting for trial, without any information at all.

The "reason" is of course unrestricted immigration with 100s of thousdands of arabians moving to sweden.

It is really sad to see how socialist politicians have destroyed a country that was once great.

Given the low chlid birth figures, in a generation sweden could become a moslem majority country.

I think a big part of it is that Orwell's vision isn't really the way it's happening. Huxley's "Brave New World" is closer to the way things are actually panning out, and not near as many people are familiar with that.
