You will absolutely love "Steamboats: The Invention that Transformed Transportation" by Andy Reven. This fantastic nonfiction book is a quick read and is very hard to put down. It is probably the best book to understand how steamboats revolutionized travel and industry—highly recommended for all history enthusiasts.
