Invasion of privacy seems to be a non-issue with the younger generations. Loss of freedom is accepted by the sheep.

Many young people have grown up with less freedom and don't know what it means to be free. Like Zoo animals or pets, they accept their "cages". Even older folks have lost the fight.

Absolutely NUTS here. The $20 per hour decree for fast food workers (a decent burger, some fries, and some OJ at Carl’s Junior clocks in at around $16 now...) nudged up the entire industry.

Americans have tunnel vision.

Maybe the USA is not collapsing because of China or AI or Communist professors. Maybe the collapse of the US is due to multiple reasons.

Yes, I spend more on things like gas and entertainment than most people, and yes, I could trim a bit by more careful grocery shopping (and ditching my nightly wine...), but it’s far, far more expensive than it used to be to maintain a standard of living.

The Middle Class, where I live, has been eviscerated. Over the past five years, my monthly expenses have increased nearly $2,000. I’ve not changed anything.

Same house, same car, same pretty much everything. Insurance, groceries, and literally everything else have just skyrocketed. (Example: took a friend to lunch. We both had BLTs. He had water. I had iced tea. The tab, with tip was $54. Going out for lunch used to be fun. Not any more!). That $2K used to be MY money.
