The world would have been a better place if humans never gave African tribes that had no written language access to technology they never invented on their own

They never figured out how to handle it properly without having a cultural history of academic study involving reading things for centuries prior to introducing the technology

Asia had a written language for hundreds or thousands of years before being exposed to new technology although China had no alphabet & did not handle tech well
