@jeffcliff examples of the state and should ideally be forbidden. The state instantly turns it against its own (yes I cound the police as well) to benefit its political class.

@jeffcliff Very much true. I think self-defense is necessary, but military in the modern sense, is a huge drain on the economy and basically just a welfare program for people who are not so intelligent.

I'd much prefer a gun in every home and guerilla warfare if someone attacks, or the wonders of the threat of nuclear bombs, biological warfare, or blackmailing the leaders of the invading nation (if you have something to blackmail with).

Military in and of itself, is one of the most revolting

Deeply conservative with a hard-edged approach to politics, they strongly support gun rights, restrictive immigration policies and a limited welfare state. They place high importance on American military power and view the U.S. as superior to other countries.

Don't know where the military power thing came from though, that could have been a misclick.

@truthbait If it is, it is most certainly working. When I'm retired, and no longer have family obligations in the EU, I would strongly consider selling everything to emigrate to the US.

Very interesting times! My biggest customer has expanded his business with me with 200%, so that means that now I'm "graduating" from hosting my stuff on Hetzner, to buying U:s in a data center instead.

Due to the recent price hikes announced by Hetzner, it will actually be cheaper for me to buy used servers and host them myself.

As an added benefit, I might then be able to sell small VM:s to friends, family and acquaintances who would appreciate having their VM:s in a very libertarian frien

@matthew More should do this! In my ideal world, all the wonderful libertarians on the fediverse would be independent contractors and business owners, utilizing aggressive tax planning and companies in low tax countries. This would be very nice!
