The oceans might rise and drown Atlantis, destroying its temples and libraries. But with this powerful conjuration the priests and scribes could maintain copies in Lemuria and other far-flung lands. #Linux #FreeBSD #OpenSource https://cromwell-intl.com/open-source/rsync.html?s=mc

Another cool thing about the #Fediverse:
IF (most likely NOT gonna happen) a major instance or smaller ones would be sold to whatever evil entity that wants to use it to influence our network…
…most of the rest of the Fediverse would simply block them and local users migrate to a different instance for example
What I’m saying is, the Fedi cannot be bought by an evil billionaire 🤷
So over all, reader focus, navigate with the keyboard, add hashtags to follow in gui, remove hashtags by deleting entry in the file tags.conf. You do have some very basic post functionality as well, but I would not trust it, nor have I tested it that much.
Compared with the default mastodon I have one full page per timeline, can switch between them easily, scroll down with space bar, so way more keyboard oriented.
Behold!
My vibe coded mastodon client with a focus on reading (so far).
It comes with proto-vim key bindings for switching timelines with the nr 1-9 and :15<enter> if you want timeline nr 15.
It comes with ignore.conf where you can just filter out people you do not care about (on the client level, you can also do it on the instance level).
It allows you to add new hashtags to follow from the gui with :add tag "hashtag", and the new hashtag will appear to the left with a nr.
