@Humpleupagus Just why would those who are looking to sell Africans as slaves bother going all the way to Africa just to throw them out of the ship? Seems like a waste of money and effort to me.
@houseoftolstoy @Humpleupagus Slaves were their cargo, why would they dump their cargo overboard for no reason?

@BarbaraPit @Humpleupagus Exactly my point. The only reason I can think of to throw them overboard is if they were already dead and just taking up space. Otherwise you are losing potential money.
Not sure what the profit margins were for selling slaves, but I don't think they could afford to throw out so many of them like that.
