I thought that one purpose of the media was to hold government accountable, not to propagate its excuses. The presumption should therefore be that it wasn't accidental. Not only would this promote further investigation, it would also disincentivize jurisdictions from making errors in the future if this was in fact an error.

@Humpleupagus @LouisConde First, they only hold right wingers accountable, even if they are fabricating all the supposed wrongdoings. Their side gets a pass every time, because they are on the same team. They like to laud themselves as being a very important and critical institution, but frankly the world would be a better place without them.
Also, fuck NPR.
