@Aether Yes, "familiar with the matter" is one of those phrases they use as a means to have an out if they ever get called out for being lying pieces of shit. If you use an intermediary, you can get away with lying without technically lying.
Never trust someone who is unwilling to stand by the words they want to to think are true. They never have your interests in mind.
