Can’t find the military-pregnancy posts, my stuff is all messed up. This one did remind me of something though:

She was reading one of these a while back and started laughing about how “little” she has by these metrics. She said “So I’ve never owned a car, haven’t gotten a passport, don’t like to travel, and I only had a part time secretary job….that I hated doing b/c it stressed me out dealing with people. Does that ever bug you? all these girls have cool jobs and stories, isn’t it more interesting than just hanging out with me?”

Even with all the explaining she’s still looking at career braggarts and thinking “oooh, she’s successful…..I bet you he’d want me to be more like her”. Literally NOTHING a girl like this has that I want. Even the money wouldn’t work, because it wouldn’t be usable on anything she doesn’t want. I’d still have to work and toil, except I’d come home to a sterile hipster house with a $23,000 couch and uber eats in silence. So much cuter having a little housefrau to lovingly dote on

@WashedOutGundamPilot For your story, it sounds like a lot of projection, because women want men who are go-getting high achievers, and when they mistakenly think that they need to be a mirror image of the type of man they like rather than a proper complement, they come to strange conclusions.

As for the pic, I doubt the men are actually intimidated. Women do not intimidate me or most other men. Often, these men detect a lot of "boss bitch" attitudes that are the opposite of a feminine woman.

@houseoftolstoy “ur so indimidating lol” is still a great eject-handle out of dealing with a woman. She dismisses you with disinterest and you don’t have to worry about any grudges going forward. Embarrassing, but better than parting ways with a barb that comes back to haunt your career when you see her later on
