I’m genuinely offended whenever a christian calls the jews “God’s chosen people”, feels heinously wrong

@WashedOutGundamPilot im no biblical scholar, but cant we infer that when the bible mentions jews being gods chosen people the implication is that its referring specifically to the jews who accepted jesus as the messiah i.e. christians?

Luke 3:7-8

Then John said to the crowds coming out to be baptized by him, “You brood of vipers, who warned you to flee from the coming wrath? Produce fruit, then, in keeping with repentance. And do not begin to say to yourselves, ‘We have Abraham as our father.’ For I tell you that out of these stones God can raise up children for Abraham.

In short, don't think you are special just because you are Jewish.
