How to lie with statistics. Inflation may be less as a rate, but those prices never went down. The prices are still high, and the one year stats snapshot does not make up for the bigger picture of prices and purchasing power overall being down.

Sure, if you ask trick questions, to the general public, they give the "wrong" answers. But they know correctly that things are overall still worse.
